Goals are set at the start of an investment, then continually reanalyzed and updated. Aggressive management comes in two forms:
First, proactively trying to enhance the value of the land and speed up the development timetable or the sale of the property.
Second, being aware of any activity that would put the property at a disadvantage, and when possible, blocking or mitigating the problem.
In both cases, this requires the monitoring a municipality’s activities and plans through personal contact with City staff and attending Planning and Zoning Commission meetings as well as City Council meetings. We are also staying up-to-date on market activity and actions taken by other land owners and developers. By being proactive, Tomlin can maximize returns and often impact any negative situations that might arise.
